Packing - Men - Warm Weather

Are you going to a warm place yet struggle with looking 'put together' while balancing comfort and heat displacement?  If you plan on going to nice restaurants in the evening or attending any shows then you will definitely want to take along a pair of pants that can be 'dressed up'.  You may see shorts during the day, but in many European cities they are rare in the evening unless you are in a relaxed beach town.  A pair of khaki pants (not cargo) or a well fitting pair of jeans will suffice when paired with a button-up collared shirt.  My husband found some great, thin material shirts that he paired with jeans in the evening or well fitting shorts during the day and was very comfortable everywhere we went.

  • 2 shorts (eg. navy and khaki)
  • 1 pants (nice jeans or khakis)
  • 2 long sleeved lightweight button up shirts
  • 3 t-shirts
  • 6 underwear
  • 3 socks
  • 1 bathing suit
  • 2 shoes (casual walking shoe, flips flops for beach)
  • 1 lightweight sweater*
  • 1 pyjamas (or comfortable lounge pants/shorts)
  • lightweight travel umbrella
  • sunglasses
  • toiletries

*The sweater is good for the airplane but you can also simply layer a t-shirt under a long sleeved shirt.
